Camel is a wondrous dream; a vision induced by long tendrils of incense smoke and a look deep into the glowing centre of burning resins and gums. It is the light of the sun seen at different times: different points of illumination that transforms the same scene; never the same as the one before it. This perfume is a story told on an infinite tapestry formed into a mobius strip. After a long voyage, it is to return to the same place that is indeterminately transformed and not quite the same.

Camel is a pleasure of resins and dried fruits, a shifting and sliding arrangement of knobbly tears of frankincense, myrrh, and jewel-shaped dates cascading through sunburnt sand. The heat of sand is evoked through cinnamon, which is dusty and saps the perfume of moisture, this effect repeated with oud, vetiver, and cedar. In the centre is a gloriously classic combination of floral notes - namely that of rose, jasmine, and orange blossom, exalted with the unmistakable tonality of civet, which allows these petals to radiate a slinky fire of sultry floral breath.

Therein lies the secret of Camel. At its core, it is an authentic and intoxicating classical floral symphony of the highest order, dressed in an Arabesque of balms made from the deepest, most burnished fruits, treasured resins, and precious oud.
