Easy to lather, nice smell

"Shaver Shop" is the first TOBS product I've tried. To me the smell is very much like sherbet / fruit tingles, which for me is a good thing.

I use a little more than an almond sized portion and it lathers up beautifully. (This amount gives me more than enough lather for three passes.) Lathering this stuff takes almost no effort. The result is nice and slick and my face feels great afterwards.

I am currently using it alongside Cella, Proraso soap and DR Harris Arlington. It stands up well to all of these. I tend to use it when I don't have the time to load up the brush.

Very happy to recommend.

sorry, hit enter too quick on last review. Was trying to alter "CONS" to I don't like the smell, neither does my wife.

Thanks

Time to try the next one.

First hitout with TOBS (and DE) was great! Loved the avocado. This one, not so much. I was expecting "oranges and lemons" or something similar but instead it smells like burnt pepper or curry powder or something? A little sharp for my tastes. The best thing about it is my wife doesn't like it either, so she is actually encouraging me to try the next one. Yay!

Lathers well & soft on the skin

I picked this cream after going through the Taylor of Bond Street sample pack I purchased last year. All the other samples were nice (my favourite scented one is Sandalwood), but none of them came as close to working for my skin as this one did. Easy to lather when using a brush or your hands, it's a very slippery cream that lets your razor glide right over the skin.
It doesn't burn which is a plus.
Recently I stopped using my double edge safety razor because of razor burn & purchased a Panasonic electric razor (which can be used wet & with creams) - this cream works well to achieve that perfect shave without the nasty burns & nicks. It also leaves my face feeling fresh & moisturised, even though it doesn't really have a moisturiser component.
