Perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri does not release the notes for his perfumes, however on our noses we detect a predominant muskiness, accentuated with animalic honey. This feature is supported with tonka bean, coffee, lactonic notes, sandalwood, leather, latex notes, fruity notes, and faint whiffs of spice and tobacco smoke.

Nasomatto recognises that in the unrelenting quest to submit to the pleasure of the senses, these must also be carnal pleasures of the flesh. Flesh itself becomes the source of pleasure, and the brand offers the flesh of the other in tribute with Sadonaso. Like the scent of another’s skin, Sadonaso is a musk in bondage, bound and braced in leather. It is the heat of skin and the sweet scent of flesh, shiny in a lacquer of sticky golden honey and latex, equally shining and alluring as the licentious object of desire.

Surprising hints of coffee, tonka bean, and creamy lactones lend tenderness to Sadonaso, like a moment reclaiming control, coming down from its head rush, until the body continues its chase. The most effective perfumes are erotic – they work by way of a trick – surprising us in a contrast of the dirty and the clean, working mellifluously but are apparent in its boldness of its effect. Sadonaso is a dirty musk covered in something else, so this dirtiness begins to hide, revealed in erotic shimmers that we can only peep at in glances.
