Bruno’s Inspiration:
"Ummagumma grew out of a particularly grey and rainy winter when I lived in San Francisco. Instead of complaining about it, I celebrated it with candles and fires, long, rich meals with friends, decadent chocolate desserts, and an obsession with the comforts of sacred incense in winter. I had been thinking of creating another gourmand, but I always have to tweak things a little. A gourmand should smell delicious, but it shouldn't smell like you spilled Hershey's syrup on your clothes. Adult notes of incense and tobacco add to the sexy sophistication and even lend a little sacred vibe to it all."

Ummagumma – as if it were the babbling words of stupefaction. This fragrance is rich, a hedonistic combination of richly spiced chocolate, oaked brown spirits, and the warmth of the fireplace that has burned down to a smoulder. Its main note is labdanum, rolled in dusty cocoa (like a chocolate truffle), intensified with the delicious hay-like freshness of tonka bean absolute. The pleasure of Ummagumma, beyond chanting its name like a spell, is its variable lines of dryness as they lace themselves over dark, unctuous, creamy, spicy, ambery and smoky effects. The work is decadent, enough … and then even more. It is an olfactory indulgence that straddles the gourmand line, deploying tobacco, cinnamon, cedar, and incense in order to maintain its balance. It is this tension that makes Ummagumma so fascinating and alluring – and it is an experience that cannot be missed.
