An elegant and modern fragrance, Mon Vetiver is intensely aromatic, where its namesake note is only the starting point of a vivacious wearing experience. Vetiver’s many facets – green, citrusy, spicy, and woody – are developed with the aid of an intense gin accord, which is crisp, herbal, and citric. A natural pairing, the rooty aspect of vetiver is reinforced with gentian and freshened up with sizzling lime, whilst a hybrid lavender note adds unmistakable complexity, a perfect balance of floralcy and spiciness. Combined with patchouli, and cashmere wood, Mon Vetiver has an undeniable masculine facet, calling to mind a texture redolent of great Aromatic compositions.

Vetiver, for perfumer Bruno Jovanovic, is an ingredient to be treated as part of a fragrant cocktail. And in this kitchen of ingredients, the affinity between the domains of taste and smell are readily apparent. In this assemblage, the vetiver note is enlarged and exaggerated, so to see its beauty up close and in a new way. And from this angle, it welcomes additions of lime, juniper berry, and lavender – aromatic materials that further blur the dividing line between the joys of taste and those of smell. It is cashmeran which perhaps reminds us that Mon Vetiver is for wearing and not for drinking - but only just - with its softly diffusive ambery-woody-musky warmth. A generous freshness defines this fragrance, which trails on a subtle ambery base.
