Takes any brand of double edge blade, snapped in half. The Leaf branded blades are ready to load straight out of the wrapper, and require no snapping or modification.
Customisable: can use 1 to 3 single edge blades

To install the blade, open the blade holder by turning the screw counterclockwise. Load the blades (lower, middle, then top blade). Ensure they sit flat, matching the notch on the side of the blade with the notch on each blade level (this is important).

Load all three blades for the closest shave possible. For sensitive skin or areas, remove the bottom blade.

Finger-tighten the blade holder by turning the screw clockwise until it locks. Note, if the screw does not lock, discontinue use and reach out to Leaf.

Brilliant for head shaving!

I got the Leaf specifically for head shaving. I’ve been using safety razors for a few years but found that head shaving with them is slow and a bit nerve wracking. Maintaining correct angle, especially at the back of the head is difficult.

I saw detailed endorsements of the Leaf online and decided to take the plunge. It has been a great purchase and head shaving is quick, effective, and safe. It is well designed and beautifully made, and the pivoting mechanism deals with the major difficulty of head shaving with a safety razor. Learning how to load the razor is easy and, once mastered, barely more fiddly than loading a normal safety razor. Frankly, I wouldn’t use it for face shaving, but the Leaf is a game changer for scalps.

The option to use 1, 2, or 3 blades is great and I’ve settled on using 2 blades for my normal routine.

I highly recommend this razor for anyone who, like me, is ‘folically challenged’.
