Tauer L'Oudh builds around a natural Oudh essential oil from Laos with hints of floral, woody and animalic notes. An array of earthy scents can be detected: decaying wood, mushroom notes, humid soil and the earth of a forest glade where Andy Tauer spent a lot of time as a boy, growing up in the Swiss countryside.

Agarwood, Castoreum, Mushroom, Myrrh, Styrax, Patchouli, Tobacco, Musk, Rose, Jasmine

Eau de Parfum

A big fragrance, perfectly worn in the wintertime.

Made in Switzerland

Tauer's take on the oud note is hypnotic, which can only be achieved by starting with the real deal: venerable Laotian oud oil. With his signature brushstrokes emphasising luminosity even in darkness, L'Oudh is an impasto painting: layers of thickly applied notes such as Javanese vetiver root, animalic castoreum, and clean, slightly fruity tones bring out an oily, glossy varnish to oud. L'Oudh sinks into the skin. This is as oud-y as it gets.

If you know Andy Tauer’s approach then you would know that he isn’t a perfumer who would jump on the oud wagon like every other luxury brand, because he has to have an oud one in his range! He pretty much avoids the way oud synthetics are made. His Oud is the real deal from a Laos. The reason why the fragrance is much more expensive than the rest of Tauer fragrances is because Andy did not compromise on the oud bag thanks heaven for that decision. This is a smoky, leathery take on oud that highlights the true and the very darkness of the oud without kicking you in the face. It’s not only wearable, but addictive, rich and very sexy. I feel that the opening is inky, smokey with unsweetened leather notes. It will develop into a smooth texture, with an oily or buttery finish over the course of the day. This makes it into my top 3 fragrances of all time. And I have had quite a few in my life time.
