These porcelain shaving bowls have been handmade in Melbourne by ceramic artist, Bridget Foley. Fired to 1300 degrees, the bowls are heat resistant, strong and durable. The thick walls retain heat to keep the lather warm and the steep sides of the bowl stop the lather from escaping. The outside of the bowl features an ice porcelain glaze, while the inside is a deep blue (also available in black) and has ridges on the base to assist the creation of lather. Each bowl is individually hand-signed by the artist.

Scoop out an almond-sized amount of shaving cream and use a damp shaving brush to work up a rich, protective lather in the mug.

Great Product

Does the job and I don’t have to clean up soap from small bowls or pre-packaged bowls. Do it fir yourself and buy one.

Great shaving bowl which creates awesome lather. I love the weight and size of it. Being made of ceramic also retains the heat well and adds to the experience :) The dimples on the bottom also really help.

Superspeed lather.

The lather bowl is just brilliant whipping up a rich lather in no time. Dropped mine on a Sunday and had the new one on Tuesday morning (on other side of our country). Fantastic service.

Top Notch shaving bowl.

Top Notch shaving bowl. I had concerns about the size but needn't have worried. It fits snugly into the hand. The ridges in the base help produce thick lather from any soap or cream I've tried. Very happy with purchase and with the service from Mensbiz.

What can be said about ...

What can be said about a bowl? It’s just right: not too heavy or deep and plenty wide. The groves on the inside base help create luxurious lather. The outside provides grip and beautifully contrasts the coloured glaze (I have the blue). Great to support a local potter. Would make a great gift for any wet shaver.
