"What is love then? An illness to which man is prone to any age".Venice, the riparian city of love. In that year of 1725 was born the man whose name would symbolise seduction: Giacomo Girolamo Casanova. For every Casanova, here is an eau de parfum inviting intense pleasure, an Amber Fern mixing fine wooded tunes and touches of lemony freshness, sublimed by the elegance of Lavender.

Fragrance Family:
Aromatic Fougère

Main Notes:
Lavender, Réglisse, Bergamot, Almond, Amber

Concentration:
Eau de Parfum

Occasion:
Elegant yet understated, 1725 is a most brilliant all-rounder.

Made in France

When combined with star anise and liquorice, lavender transforms into a fragrance with an unmistakable freshness, where its cool herbal breath takes centre stage. Lavender thrives when simplicity is the order of the day, and here 1725 straddles the balance between concision and saying far too much.

The fresh intermezzo of spicy and sweet top notes goes on for what feels like forever - suspended bliss, where the main lavender idea then carries onto the next movement, brought together with the rich hue of vanilla and an almost edible cedar wood note that is at once chewy and translucent, then drying down on the seductive powery note of heliotropin, nuanced in itself with notes of almond, spice, and florals.

Awesome barbershop scent

Powdery soft spices! What an awesome transitional-weather scent. The whole thing is very soft and airy actually, which makes it an absolute pleasure to wear because it's warm and light and uplifting. If gourmands or heavy ambers aren't ordinarily to your liking then this modernised barbershop scent could offer a really good entry point, the floral notes soften the whole thing out in such a superb way. Brilliant.

A tame fougere, great scent profile, let down by performance.

[Review of 1725 EDP]

A beautiful vanilla and lavender opening, slightly powdery. Great for spring. I found the longevity and projection lets it down unfortunately.
