Place a soap refill in the top of the shaving mug. Fill spout with warm water (the heat of the water from the lower chamber will warm the mug and keep the brush and lather warm while you shave). Use a damp shaving brush to work up a rich, protective lather. You may like to rest the brush on top of the soap between latherings to keep it warm.
